Privacy policy
What we keep, why, and for how long. DRAFT for legal review. This text is not final and has not been approved by a lawyer.
What we keep
- Your ratings, optional comment, role, and optional outcome (won, lost, mixed, watching).
- Whether your phone was near the courthouse (yes or no). Your exact location is never stored.
- The time of your rating, rounded to the hour.
- A random token for your phone that our server signs. It is not tied to your name. After 30 days we cut the link between the token and your ratings.
- If you use “Get involved”: the interests, message and contact you type. We delete these after 6 months.
- If you use the feedback form: your answers, with no name.
What we never keep
- Your name, email or phone number (unless you type them in “Get involved”).
- Your IP address on disk. It lives briefly in memory to slow down abuse and is never written to the database.
- Voice recordings. They are turned into text on our own server and deleted at once.
- Ads, trackers or analytics from other companies. Fonts are on our own server too.
Who sees it
Approved moderators see comments waiting for review. Published ratings and comments are public without any name. We do not sell or share data.
Legal requests
Because we keep so little, there is little to hand over. If we are legally required to share something we will share only what exists, and tell you here when the law allows.
Your choices
You can clear your browser data at any time; the token on your phone disappears. To ask us to remove something you wrote, use Corrections and removal. Contact: privacy@rateyourjudgecolorado.com.
Children
This site is for people 18 or older.
